Kiss Nail Dress

Kiss Nail Dress

I finally tried these and love them. they are a little thicker then the Sally Hansen nail stickers but these work just the same and I am enjoying them. I started by cleaning my nails off with 100 acetone and then lightly buffing my nails with a fine nail file. then I wiped of the residue and began applying these. when i was done I applied a fast drying top coat and made sure to seal the ends to help prevent lifting. so far its been 2 days and they are looking great!

EDIT: they did start to lift/peel at the end of the second day. I am a mother of two and a homemaker who is constantly washing hands or using cleaning products etc.. So this could have contributed to them doing this. I also found that since the strips where on the thicker side that may have contributed more to the lifting. I would say that these are good for a night out if you want to add some sparkle or jazz up or nails. not something to put on and expect them to last a full 10 days unless you are really careful with them. Maybe my nails are just not cooperative with nail stickers. im not sure but in the end they are fun and worth a try, who knows, they may work for you or give you a few days of fun!

Introducing Kiss Nail Dress, ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes! Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to 10 days. On in minutes, off in seconds without remover. Nail Dress is available in 18 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Check out Peplum, a deep black with multi-colored gems for a pop of color, or Babydoll, for a golden and glamorous jeweled look. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in.

With 28 strips in each package, you can cut up your extras to create designs that can be used on top of polished or artificial nails. Nail Dress doesn’t dry out the way other polish strips can, so you can save them to use on your next DIY mani. A nail design booklet is included in each package, just in case you need a little inspiration.

And don’t forget about your feet! Nail Dress looks awesome on toes, too – just use the square side of the sticker for a perfect fit.

Where to Buy
Nail Dress’ suggested retail is $6.99 and is available in all major drug chains and mass retailers like WalMart, CVS and Walgreens.

Venus & Olay Razor

Venus & Olay Razor

Received this razor through the VoxBox program with Influenster. I loved this razor so much I thought it deserved it's own post! This has given me the smoothest shave I have ever received with a razor.

Use: So I put the cartridge (The smell of this products is a clean fresh scent) onto the handle and got in the shower. in the process I turned to the bathroom wall and made sure I stuck the suction razor holder there on the wall. I was surprised to find that it sticks really well and has been hanging in my shower for a few weeks now. So anyway, I wet the razor and checked to make sure my legs were wet and began to shave going again the hair growth. Only had do go over the skin once. It glided with ease leaving a soapy, moisturizing residue behind. When I was completely done shaving I rinsed the residue off and felt my skin and was amazed at how close the shave was and how smooth my skin felt! I rinsed to razor off and then placed it in it's suctioned holder on the bathroom wall where it will sit till the next time I shave!

Negatives:   Not much bad to say about this product other than the fact that I wished the moisture bars on the razor lasted longer. after about 2-3 shaves the size of them had dwindled quite a bit.

Final Verdict: Loved this product and would definitely purchase again. especially for summer time when I know I will need it for more then just my legs ( if you know what I mean!?) Smooth shave without a lot of effort, leaves skin smooth and not itchy or dry.

2012 Influenster Vox Box

So I signed up on Influenster a few months ago. (if you want to know more about it I suggest going to the site influenster.com to learn more since I happen to be horrible at explaining things well)

I was pleasantly surprised when i received my box in the mail. I was so excited to receive it and see what goodies I got.  First I noticed that I received the

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor (www.gillettevenus.com)
   Kiss Nail Dress (nail stickers)
Ghiradelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Bar
  Truvia Natural Sweetener

 Stash Tea Herbal Tea Sampler

The razor retails between $8.99-10.99, Nail Stickers retail $6.99, Tea retails $3.50, Chocolate Bar retail $2.99, Truvia Sweetener retail$3.99 for 40 count.

I have tried the one of the tea bags in the tea sampler and it was wonderful! I tried the Acai Berry one and it was very fruity and had a great flavor! The sampler came with a great variety Acai berry, Blueberry Superfruit, Chamomile, Cinnamon Apple Chamomile, Lemon Ginger, Licorice Spice, Mango Passionfruit, Peppermint, and Wild Rasberry Hibiscus. I am very excited to try all the flavors and find out which one(s) are my favorite and may purchase a box or two of the ones I want.

The chocolate bar was delightful and super creamy! It was so yummy!

The Razor that incorporates moisture bars of Olay was heavenly. it glides over the skin well and makes my skin soft and smooth. I really like this pair of the five bladed razor and the rich moisture of the Olay. will defiantly be purchasing this again especially for summer time where you really have to get down and shave everything for bathing suit season.

I like the Truvia sweetener. I like to keep it in my purse and use it when I get coffee or tea somewhere and its not sweet enough for me. It defiantly comes in handy and does a great job at sweetening up anything I put it in.

All in all I love this program and loved getting my box. It was fun to try out a variety of  different things I might not have purchased myself but now I love.

I havent tried the Nail stickers yet. I am waiting for a special occasion to wear them too. I hate to wear them and not be going anywhere where nobody will see them.

If you are a blogger or video maker and like to review items or are very social and are willing to share the things you have tried out them this is definitely a great program that is free to sign up for. I would go over to the site and read up on it and register if you think this is something for you.

Getting back to blogging and random thoughts.

It's been a long time since I have blogged. I managed to take a lot of time in raising my kids and healing myself after having a hard time with Postpartum Depression after the birth of my second son in 2008. It was very scary and I do not remember much about that time. (that can be another post in and of itself)

My boys are now 3 and half and almost 6. It feels like life is finally getting into order, an order that I enjoy. We are out of the baby stages. Life feels so much easier without all the baby stuff. (not to say I dont love having babies and seeing them) just glad things are easier. Now If I can just get my three year old to potty train and we will all be golden and saving bucket loads of money! YAY!

My oldest is in Kindergarten 5 days a week all day. It's so crazy to think about. he will be turning 6 on January 17th. It feels like only yesterday that I had my chin to my boobs and my knees at my ears pushing for over 2 hours! But it was worth it because I had a beautiful baby with olive complexion and black little eyes. Since he was born he has had to be in control and dictating everything around him. he is stubborn but is a sweetheart. He always thinks he is right and ALWAYS needs to have the last word ( he definitely gets the last two things from his father!)

Benjamin was my light haired, blue eyed baby! he was my snuggle buddy and was such a sweetie and always needed me over everyone else. now he is this talkative, loud, naughty, sweet, puppy- loving, crazy 3 year old. Oh, and his eyes changed to this really cool looking greyish green color.

After everything i went through with the PPD I feel like this past year has been the best for me. I no longer suffer the lasting effects of the PPD and I do not have horrible panic attacks any longer or feel like my surroundings are swallowing me up whole. I take time to enjoy life and do things for myself after the kids have gone to bed. Jewelry making was a huge help in getting me to stay focused and relaxed and letting my mind be still for awhile. I still do it and seem to get many compliments for my work. I am very proud of that work because it comes from a place in my life where I was so low yet, I was still able to produce some beauty out of it. I am a few classes away from getting my associates degree in Liberal Arts and Studies. It has been a long drawn out process doing online classes 2 or 3 at a time for the past few years while the kids are in bed. It will all be worth it though.

All kinds of changes! but good ones that have brought us all to where we are now. I never imagined life to be like it is now when I was younger and full of angst and anger and pain from a not so good childhood. There is a silver lining sometimes it takes a long time to get there but its all worth it. Having HOPE is good! it keeps you striving for something.

Helpless

I think the worst thing is not being able to make your babies feel better.
My Oldest has Croup and it's just awful. He is up all night crying and having coughing fits. And during the day he wont eat and is so exhausted. We have been trying everything . and nothing seems to give him any relief.
Now my 10 month old is showing signs that he is catching this illness also. he has the dripping green goo pouring out of his nose and a yucky wet cough. It seems worse for little babies because they cant say what they are feeling and they cannot have any meds. to help with the cough.
UGH!!!!
I HATE not being able to help my babies feel better. If i could take their pain or sickness away i would in a heartbeat! life just sucks sometimes.

I cannot fathom having a child with an ongoing illness or disease, even cancer. God bless all those parents my hat is off to you. i cant imagine what that feels like.
Im pretty sure this will not be the last time my kids are sick. but for now, it's hard to handle.

God Bless the Child (and thier parents) Who suffer!

How a Mom Can Tell She Has Gained a Few.

Well, if it wasnt already bad enough that i am a little depressed over my body after have my second son 10 months ago, My 3 year old decided to tell his father that his Mommy has a big tummy and then proceeded to lift up my sweatshirt to violently knead my belly flab like play-doh.

So needless to say, there is no denying it anymore, i need to lose weight and work out before i turn into one of those floats in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade!!!
